About the Garden

The Transit Garden, located at the corner of Smith Street and Second Place, is a great place to gather and garden. The MTA owns the property.

If you’d like to be a gardener, you can attend one of our meetings and sign up for a planter box. Please send an email to Vicki Devor to get all the details.

If you’d like to support the garden, but aren’t a fan of getting dirty and moving planters around (we understand), you can become a “friend of the garden” by making a donation. And if you’re a local business, we’ll gladly be the recipients of wine, cheese, or whatever you would be gracious enough to donate. To learn more about the “friend” program, please email Vicki.

Hi! I live in the neighborhood, and I am interested in becoming a member of the garden. What does a membership entail? How do I get started?
